2010 Quilt Show at a Glance
Show Guide Map

This year’s poster takes us on a visual tour of our show founder’s “Inspired Journey”.  The images commemorate Jean’s evolution from traditional quilter to ‘intuitive’ quilt artist.  Jean has shared her inspiration throughout her career of teaching, lecturing and writing and has influenced the work of thousands of quilters along the way.

Jean says, “My life has been in “Inspired Journey” when it comes to quilting. As a nine year old I discovered sewing and embroidery and this began my love affair with the creativity involved in sewing, quilting, and knitting. I have been fortunate to have turned these interests into a career of teaching and lecturing, writing books, and owning a retail store. The journey is never ending for me.

Recurring themes in my quilts have to do with natural configurations – rocks, trees, flowers, and the landscape. These are a common thread running through my mind as I work intuitively designing quilts, letting the design take on a shape and color all its own. My fascination is with line, pattern, color, and texture and how to design with these elements in mind.”

The Stitchin’ Post of Sisters, Oregon has exclusive rights to produce and sell official Quilt Show merchandise utilizing the artist's image. Please click here to browse the t-shirts, posters, mugs and other official memorabilia available for purchase.

If you are a lodging provider please join the group and post a message describing your offer completely.
